The Texas Association of Nonprofit Organizations was honored to have its President & CEO, Barry Silverberg, serve as one of eight nonprofit leaders from throughout the State of Texas on the Texas Legislature mandated Health & Human Services Commission's Task Force on Strengthening Nonprofit Capacity formed as a result of the passage of HB 492. OneStar Foundation is working closely with the Commission in staffing the Task Force.
Purpose - The HHSC Task Force on Strengthening Nonprofit Capacity invites the public to provide testimony and written comments about how to strengthen nonprofit capacity for providing charitable and social services to Texans in need. The public input will be used to help develop recommendations and a report for the Texas Legislature" that will be submitted on September 1, 2010.
