New Funding Opportunity for Faith-Based and Community Organizations
RENEWING OUR COMMUNITIES ACCOUNT
AUSTIN – OneStar Foundation: Texas Center for Social Impact is pleased to launch the first of two requests for proposals (RFPs) through the Renewing Our Communities Account. Funded last session through House Bill 492, these grants are intended to encourage partnerships, reduce barriers and foster better communication among faith-based and community organizations (FBCOs), local governments and partners in the nonprofit sector. OneStar plans to award 40 grants of up to $25,000 each through a competitive grant award process totaling $1,000,000.
Using a multi-faceted approach, OneStar Foundation has designed a comprehensive initiative to meet the requirements of HB 492 and build capacity across all levels of government and FBCOs. This innovative RFP will build capacity for small to medium sized FBCOs and their collaborative partners and provide ongoing technical assistance and capacity building throughout the grant period.
Applications will be accepted online through the OneStar Web site and must be received before 11:59 p.m. CST on Friday, February 19, 2010.
