From learning the difference between government and private grants to discussing the details of proposal components areas and how to sustain your program, participants will discover how much information is needed to create a winning proposal and what the best practices are to sustain a program beyond grant funds.
 
OBJECTIVES: Participants will learn:
The basic rules for grant writing
How to determine an organization’s readiness to apply for funding
How to define terms, such as grant and request for proposal
The different characteristics and types of public and private funding
The components of a letter of inquiry and a grant proposal
Which documents are generally asked to accompany a grant proposal
The grant and review processes
The different dimensions of sustainability
