Media Matters: Getting Your Message Out

Terrified of talking to the press? All it takes is a little prep. Learn quick message development and presentation tactics for different kinds of interviews. Learn how the media works and how you can work with them in a fun, interactive workshop. You'll take away communications techniques that will help with your next interview, board presentation or Q&A session.

 

Presenter:
Cathy O'Neal
is a communications coordinator for the Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts in Arlington. During her career, she was a reporter for 10 years and has been the spokesperson for Harris Methodist Health System, HCA South Arlington Medical Center and Girl Scouts - Circle T Council. She has handled the good, the bad and the ugly of press encounters, including a crisis situation that made national news.

 

Fee: $150 for FIC members; $300 for nonmembers (no-shows will be billed)

Lunch will be provided.
