After the Award Letter Arrives-Whoa! Grants Management!

Back by popular demand!  Laura Browning previously provided the Ultimate Grant Writing Series which TANO hosted in early 2011.  Now she is back to provide nonprofits leaders with the next steps in the grant writing process....
 
You’ve researched the perfect grant, you’ve written the perfect application, and the award letter has arrived. Whoa! You did it! Now what? You are going to have to manage the award now. There are going to be compliance agreements, assurance letters, contracts, reporting requirements, and finally close out documents that must be retained for years. Quickly now, the first document has to go back immediately if you want the money! You have just entered the world of grants management. This session will refresh your skills on grants management, from establishing simple folder system to understanding the glossary of management. Building a grants management system should begin as soon as you click that on-line submission, as a pre-award system, a post-award internal controls system and finally an after-grant closeout and recovery system. In 90 minutes, we'll introduce you to resources, suggestions and professional organizations that will help guide you along in the grants' world of increasing requirements for accountability and fiscal oversight.
