Catherine’s expertise spans a number of functional areas, including writing, public relations, grant writing, event planning and volunteer recruitment/management. She has spent the last 10 years developing experience in corporate, agency and freelance arenas within the technology and healthcare sectors (with a focus on children’s health and disabilities). She has managed corporate media campaigns, developed communications plans for agencies and corporations, trained media spokespeople, written speeches and coached presenters, produced corporate brochures and media materials, and designed and managed both large and small special events.

After starting her career in high‐tech public relations, Catherine felt drawn to the not‐for‐profit world and the opportunity to better her community through partnerships with local nonprofits. She has consulted with a number of nonprofit organizations on how to build winning grant programs with limited resources and to date has assisted in raising more than $6 million in grant dollars.

Catherine actively volunteers within her community, including service through The Junior League of Austin. In recognition for her contributions, she was recently honored as a nominee for The Association of Junior Leagues International 2009 Talbot’s Rising Star Award.

Personally, Catherine is passionate about children, parenting, and living out her faith through her work. She and her husband live with their two young daughters in Austin. Catherine holds a BS degree from Texas A&M University (and is proud to fly her Aggie colors in Longhorn territory).
