Latino/Hispanics are now the largest minority in the United States. By 2050, 30% of the U.S. population will be of Latino descent, making them a significant economic force. We understand how the population change is impacting nonprofits in Texas. Engage501 intends to be the bridge between nonprofits and diverse communities. Engage 501 is a multicultural engagement initiative that utilizes an inclusive and culturally relevant approach to community engagement. The goal is to build the capacity of the nonprofit sector in Texas by creating meaningful connections, understanding multicultural communities and providing engagement tools. Put simply, this initiative will help you create advocates, volunteers, board members and donors through building cultural sensitivity assets that will broaden nonprofits’ relevance to their communities and diversify their growth.
