PfitzPR

Debi founded PfitzPR in 1998 on a foundation in disaster communications as a member of and instructor for the American Red Cross National Disaster Public Affairs and Rapid Response Teams. In 1998, she left the Red Cross to launch a consulting practice backed by her skills as an award-winning writer with more than 20 years experience. She became fascinated by social media as a channel to build communities and has seen its power in social media-driven efforts she's developed for Food4SA, a community-wide food drive to collect a million pounds of food, among others. She is a member of the San Antonio Express-News' City Brights and MomsInSA blog team, sits on the National Wildlife Federation's Founding Mothers Advisory Board and is co-founder of Smooch-SA (social media for charities) and co-organizer of ActionCamp San Antonio (camp for nonprofits). Debi's passion is working long-term with great clients and journalists (both traditional and citizen) who seek to make the world a better place.
