The Four R's of Volunteer Management: Recruiting, Recognition, Retention = Revenue!

Speaker Mary Beth Harrington

Director of Community Outreach
VCNT

Mary Beth Harrington currently serves as Director of Community Outreach for the Texas Association of Nonprofit Organizations (TANO). Prior to working at TANO, Harrington was Executive Director of the Austin Public Library Foundation and Director of Agency Relations at the Volunteer Center of North Texas (VCNT).

Target audience: Volunteer Managers/Coordinators as well as Executive Directors and staff members who may not fully appreciate how volunteers can strengthen the effectiveness and sustainability of your nonprofit organization!

Feed the Homeless                     Mentor Children                       Build a House
These are excellent ways to utilize volunteers but they can do more! Volunteers are (or at least should be!) an integral part of any nonprofit organization. But, while more people volunteer today than ever before, they are volunteering less hours so as nonprofit leaders we have to learn how to more effectively utilize the new breed of volunteer!

In this session, participants will learn:
-         how volunteers impact the bottom line of your budget,
-         how to effectively utilize every possible volunteer
-         how to recruit the volunteers you need and then keep them!
